PRODUCT REVIEW - RITUALS INTENSE MOISTURE SERUM

Image
With a lot of my purchase I buy, I got this on a whim. I have other products by Rituals, which I love! But they are in the form of scrubs and shower gels, so I've never thought about their skin care range, but I went for it anyway! I was so surprised at how good this actually is! When it says intense hydration, it really means it! All my dry skin, gone! After one use, I love this stuff! It's like a miracle in a bottle! It comes in a really nice packaged bottle, and it comes in pump form, so it saves on mess. Now when I hear the word serum, i think of an oil, which is what I was expecting, however this comes in a kind of gel form, which really skins into the skin and drys pretty fast. Your skin looks noticeable more even and hydrated and this makes such a difference when I use this before make-up. I couldn't love this stuff anymore, it's amazing! My holy grail product for my face.  A definite re-purchase!

PRODUCT REVIEW - EVE LOM FLAWLESS RADIANCE PRIMER

Image
Now the first thing that I have to say about this product is the packaging is gorgeous, and feels expensive and high end, which it is...But isn't it nice to look at! The bottle is quite heavy, so not great for travelling but lovely to sit on a vanity table! Now this is very different from the primers I usually use as the texture isn't 'silicony' and more like moisturizer. It sinks into the skin pretty fast which is good when it comes to primers. But the finish this gives is amazing, your skin really does look radiant and glowing and I can definatly see that my foundation sits better on my skin after using this. The only downside is that it isn't on the cheap side, selling at £30/40 pound mark. Ouch! I was originally going to get the Hourglass primer, but I just couldn't spend £50+ on a primer! That's pretty steep for what a primer really is, however good it is! But anyway, the Eve Lom primer get's my approval, I think im in love?!

PRODUCT REVIEW - BECCA SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTORS

Image
Hello.  Today I'm talking about the Becca shimmering skin perfectors. Now originally I was going to purchase a full size one of these but then saw that Becca had brought out a Spotlight mini trio pack in the colours Champagne Gold, Opal and Pearl...so three colours to try out? Yes please! These mini's come in tubes with a doe foot applicater which makes it a lot easier to apply the product if you are new to highlighters.  I absolutely love the texture, pigmentation and shimmer etc of these products. They just give you the most natural highlight and glow. I loved Opal so much that I bought the full size one, but the mini's are just so handy to pack and great to travel with instead of the full size ones. I would highly recommend this product, and if your thinking of buying a full size one, try the mini's first because they will last an age on their own!  Opal is a peachy colour, towards the more warm end of the spectrum Champagne Gold, is as stated a

PRODUCT REVIEW - JEMMA KIDD

Image
Now this is the Gemma Kidd, cheek palette in the colour 01 Soft Peach/Beige. The look matte, but upon closer inspection they have the slightest hint of shimmer. The first colour is a warm rosy pink and to the right of that is a peachy skin colour. These are quite pigmented and have a good lasting power.   (Upside down)   Next up is the face palette 'Dewy Glow, all over radiance creme in 01 Iced Gold. Now Im going to admit it, I wasen't a huge fan of this product when I first got it, but now after testing it out and finding the best way to apply it, i have come to love it. I think the best way to apply this because its a creme highlighter is to use what we got, our fingers! They warm the product up and makes it easy to apply. In terms of colour it leaves a soft peach colour with not what i would call a shimmer but rather a glow.   This is my favourite Gemma Kidd product and its the eye wardrobe palette in Plum Quartet, it includes a highlight, accent col

MY ALL TIME SKIN CARE SAVIOUR!

Image
Now I know this is a pretty big statement to make but the product is the best thing I have found to help my skin with spots, scabs, dryness etc...What do you ask, is the product? Well in fact it is ALOE VERA GEL!!! This stuff works wonders than any posh or expensive product that promises to help with all our skin care problems. However aloe vera gel is so cheap and it does the job ten times better than anything else that I have found. The two gels that I currently use are: A Passion for Natural 100% Organic Aloe Vera Gel. This is slightly bigger than the next gel, and it costs around £7 I believe. JASON Aloe Vera Gel . This one retails at around the £3/4 mark. So cheap! The first gel I mentioned is probably my favourite as the Jason one tends to leave a 'film' on my face and I can see it when I wake up, which is a little annoying. I love that both of these come in gel form and sink into the skin quickly.  *Isn't it annoying when your so tired for bed and you just

PRODUCT REVIEW - MAX FACTOR COLOUR ELIXIR LIP LINERS

Image
These have become my favourite drug store lip liners! Max Factor has come out with a pretty great shade range from nudes to pinks to browns to reds! Horaay! I have found these last a good 5 hours plus and the don't dry your lips out like some liners can...These are easily sharpened and last a long while (ie. use) My favourite colour is Pink Petal, which is a nudey pink, like a 'your lips but better' colour (It looks completely a different colour in these photos by the way!) I have also found that Red Rush last ages and doesn't bleed and it matches most of my red lipsticks (winner!) I would say that these aren't the cheapest drug store lip liners, retailing at £4.99. The texture of these it great, they are quite creamy and sit on the lips very comfortably and the pigmentation of these are very good. At some reviews I have looked at said they loved the product but when comes to sharpening it, it breaks...this has not been an issue for me personally, so make sure yo

PRODUCT REVIEW - CHANEL TAN DE SOLEIL

Image
This cult beauty favourite is one of mine as well. I love that I can get a bronzer in a cream form, it just makes it look so much more real than powder for contouring. This product gives you a healthy glow and it isn't orange (however it may look in this picture!) But when blended out its looks so natural and beautiful! You also get 30grams of product which is a lot, and I have used and used this one and it hardly has a dent in it. Definately worth the money in my mind!   Here is the Tan De Chanel swatched on skin

PRODUCT REVIEW - BECCA BEACH TINT SHIMMER SOUFFLE

Image
Now these are by far my favourite blushes at the moment (well for a while now!) Instead of just being your typical blushes, these have the added bonus of having a highlighter mixed in with them and they just look soooo lovely on the skin.  They have a whipped like mousse texture, but it is 'bouncy' and is a dream to apply. I usually swirl my finger in the pot and apply to my face and then use a brush to blend. The colour range is excellent with vibrant punchy colours that are great for the summer months.      Below are shots of the products swatched on skin.

PRODUCT REVIEW - HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING PALETTE

Image
Now the Hourglass ambient lighting collection has been hugely popular with celebritys to make-up artists, to people like you and me. The give you just such a lovely glow about you, and are a dream to work with. I think the best way to go if you haven't bought a single one of these is to get the three in one palette which is awesome because you get three shades to test out at quite a reasonable price. I love using this palette and it is now a firm favourite in my everyday make-up routine. The packaging is sleek, coming in a dark brown imitation metal case and is easy to travel with.   BELOW ARE PICTURES TAKEN OF THE PALLETT     AND SWATCHED ON THE SKIN   IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT  INDOORS
