PRODUCT REVIEW - THE BEAUTY BLENDER

Image
If your really into your make-up you would of heard alot of hype surrounding the beauty blender. What is it? It's a sponge that is used to apply make-up basically. You have to wet it so it is damp before you apply your make-up base and then just dry it off on a towel to get rid of any excess water and then your apply your foundation etc, in a 'bouncy' motion. Don't rub this, almost pat the product on to the skin.  After use your supposed to leave the beauty blender to sit in it's packaging and dry off. (I usually clean it after use becuase i'm a clean freak!) Now after using this for a while, I actually really like how it is applying my foundation, It does make it more 'blended' and seamless. I really like the finish of my base after applying it with the beauty blender.  I personally think the only downside is the price, at £20 it does seem quite steep for a sponge, however you can get alternatives. (Real techniques do a similar one). However

PRODUCT REVIEW - NARS SMUDGE PROOF EYESHADOW BASE

Image
I recently wrote a post about the Laura Mercier Metallic creme eyeshadows and my love for them! BUT there is one big downside to them and it's that they migrate very easily, so I wanted to get a primer for my eyes so that these shadows and others would stay put for longer.  After a long day of wear with this eye primer I could definitly tell that it had made a difference, my eyeshadow was still in tact and looking good. To conclude, Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base works wonders! I would recommend it to all my readers! It may save you from throwing in the rubbish your favourite eyeshadows!

PRODUCT REVIEW - BECCA SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTOR (PRESSED POWDER) MOONSTONE AND ROSE GOLD

Image
So, if you have read my blog before you will know that I absolutely love the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors in liquid form. They are to die for!  I really wanted to invest in the powders also, I choose two colours, Moonstone and Rose Gold. These two colours are at opposite ends of the spectrum so hopefully you get a good idea of the colours. Moonstone is a silvery white gold highlight, this looks beautiful when it catches the light, I take these on my Sigma F35 tapered highlighter brush and apply to the high points of my face, eg. tops of cheekbones, nose, cupids bow, forehead.  Rose Gold is a much warmer highlight, from it's name you guessed it it's a pinky gold colour, again this is beautiful and would look great on warmer skin tones.

PRODUCT REVIEW - BRAVURA LONDON GLYCOLIC ACID AND SALICYLIC ACID

Image
So this is a whole new concept of skincare to me! Anything that is described as 'acid' sounds terrfying to me, like it's going to burn your face off, so I've always stayed clear! However recently my skin has been wreaking havoc and so I wanted something to keep it in check.  I saw on Facebook that a lot of celebrities were raving about this company called Bravura London, something I hadn't heard of before. I was intrigued and so decided to do some detective work and read comments and reviews on their products and most of it was good, so I decided to buy some. I think the prices of these are very reasonable at around £10 per bottle.  I got two different acids, the first 'Glycolic Acid 10%' which is suppose to help with pigmentation, dark spots, sun damage etc...I have quite a lot of dark marks left over from spots that just don't seem to fade. I have just used this a few times and it's quite ridiculous that I can see a difference in my skin already

PRODUCT REVIEW - BUMBLE AND BUMBLE HAIRDRESSERS INVISIBLE OIL

Image
When it comes to my hair i'm pretty low key. I usually air dry my hair, and hardly ever use my hairdryer. Recently I haven't been using my straightners, if I do it takes me about 3 mins to curl my hair, I have that down! So I bought a little set by Bumble and Bumble, the invisible oil shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. The main reason was to take the mini conditioner and shampoo on holiday with me and I'm so glad I did, humidity is not my friend! These two product worked wonders and kept my hair in check! Definitly recommed! Moving on, as I said before I got the invisible oil too. I started using this about 2 weeks ago and I'm loving it! It's so light weight and doesn't make my very fine hair greasy, which is such a bonus! It leaves the hair nourished and smells amazing! And all-rounder in my books! The best oil for hair I have ever used! Plus the packaging is super cute and in my favourite colour, what's not to love!

PRODUCT REVIEW - BODYSHOP CLAY AND TEA TREE FACE MASKS

Image
If you know me personally, you will know that when it comes to face masks, I just don't have the patience or time for them. But when my skin is at it's worst I like to think I can spare some time for these two maks. They are both from the Body Shop (Seriously guys, you need to go! They always have discounts on and their products are just fantastic right now! Better than most high-end skin care lines!)  The first mask is the Tea Tree face mask, this smells like tea tree and the smell lingers. Not a problem for me, but for those with sensitive noses, beware. The texture is quite light and creamy and applies well all over the face. You leave it on for 10-15 mins, then wash off with a damp cloth. This mask doesn't dry on the skin, it stays wet so try not to get your hair in your face! I really like this mask, it helps with spots and blemishes and also cools the skin down. Next is the Seaweed Ionic Clay mask. This mask again has a smell to it, like the tea tre
