PRODUCT REVIEW - CHARLOTTE TILBURY THE RETOUCHER CONCEALER

Image
I've heard a lot of great stuff about this and wanted to get it for the purpose of adding light to the dark circles under my eye area.  The product itself comes in a handy wind-up pen, that when you twist the bottom the product come out the brush and you just swipe it on to the skin, very quick and easy. The product is quite thick in consistnacy but it givesgreat coverage which is what you look for in a concealer.   As you can see to the right of the 'blob' I have applied the product and it does look more glowy and alive than the rest of the skin on my hand. I'm really enjoying using this product right now. It's not overly thick in consistancy so it's easy to work it into the skin which I like in a concealer.

HIGHTLIGHTER SMACKDOWN

Image
I can't get enough of highlighters! There my favourite thing in the beauty world right now and have been for quite some time.  I love me some shimmer and glow!! So with that ramble over...I wanted to do a post on all of my highlighters. First of all highlighters come in all different textures and formulas, from liquids to powders to creams. Cream's One of my favourite highlighters is actully a cream, you might think a cream highlighter sounds like a lot of "faf" and buffing into the skin, I have to agree with you to a degree but they just look so lovely on the skin. My only cream highlighter is the Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow, All over radiance creme in 01 Iced Gold. Here it is on the skin....   Liquid's Now liquids can also be a bit of a 'faf' to apply as they can get messy but with the right one, they can look 'amaz-balls!' My all time favourite liquid highlighters are by Becca, they are the Shimmering Skin Perfectors...I curre

PRODUCT REVIEW - CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIGHT WONDER FOUNDATION WITH SPF 15

Image
Late on the bandwagon again, but I wanted a lighter foundation instead of a heavy one, after reading reviews I went for the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder. The product is supposed to give you that luminous, lit from within look. Also it has added SPF 15 to help with protecting your face fromt the sun, a great bonus.  The consistancy of this foundation is very light and liquidy. It easily melts into the skin and forms a bond. I really like how easy this foundation is to apply than a lot of others where you really have to buff them into the skin. this one you can slap on and go. Moving on to the luminosity of this product, I can asy that it does give you a lovely glow and makes your skin look  soft and supple. I'm really liking this foundation right now also it feels good on the skin, nothing too uncomfortable or sticky/wet. It drys fairly fast and with powder you don't feel it on the skin at all.  I have applied a little 'blob' of product on my han so you ca

PRODUCT REVIEW - NARS AUDACIOUS MASCARA IN BLACK MOON

Image
Now this product is still very new and only came out a few weeks ago. Every post I have read gives this excellent reviews and customers have said they love it, it's their 'holy grail' mascara so I was very interested to find out what all the hype is about. After trying the mascara myself I can definilty see what everybody is going on about! It really is a lovely mascara! It coats the lashes so that they are long and fluttery (I hate it when lashes get too clumped up!) You can build it up and use as many coats as you want! The brush is plastic and has hooks on the end which help to grab and adhere the product on to the lashes.  On the picture below I used two coats (applied the 2nd coat after about 1 min) and my lashes look super long and fine and whispy! I love it! I feel like the mascara really helps to open up the eye and make them look much bigger than they are, which I feel like my current mascara doesn't do, but it still looks lovely on.  But t

PRODUCT REVIEW - URBAN DECAY BROW TAMER CLEAR GEL

Image
I got this in clear becuase I use my Suqqu brow pen in brown to fil them in so I didn't need any colour to add to them. I just really wanted something to set them in place becuase I've noticed since I have grown them out they don't stay in place on their own anymore, hence the brow gel.  This one from Urban Decay was about the cheapest brow gel I could find that was by a decent make. It retails at £15. For example the NARS one was £17.50.  This brow gel I have found good as it doesn't become 'crispy' and dry and you get that annoying fall out. The downside of it is that it takes a while to set, so maybe think about doing you brows straight after your foundation instead of other things like eyes and face etc. It says that it has a 'flexible hold' which I'm inclined to agree with it isnt super rock solid but definitly holds the brows in place.

REVIEW - AUDIBLE APP

Image
I know this is completely going away from the theme of my blog however I really wanted you guys to know about the app called 'Audible' it's an app that basically reads books aloud instead of reading them, you listen to them. I remember sitting on my way to school in my mums car listening to 'War of the worlds' and just thinking "I want to kill myself!" However I have grown a lot since them and it sounded very intriguing so I downloaded the app and choose the book Chantaram By Gregory David Bower. I'm still listening to it, usually in my car or when i'm in bed before I go to sleep and I'm really enjoying it actually! It's a lot less stressful and you don't have to be super foucused to listen to it which I like!    The app itself is really handy, it has a sleep mode which i use at night time...I usually put it on the 30mins setting and close my eyes and listen to it whilst i drift off and by the time I do, it stops itself so it
